RULES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
ABSTRACTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 20/06/2025
1- Abstract submission is entirely online, via the submission system found on the website https://www.even3.com.br/biotec2025/
2- The author presenting the work must be registered for the event and, if a member, be up to date with the payment of the SBBiotec annual fee;
3- The abstract of the work must be sent electronically only.
4- Abstracts must contain a maximum of 500 words, not counting words included in the title, authors, institution and funding sources.
5- Descriptions of projects, work intentions, or bibliographic reviews will not be accepted.
6- The abstract must be written in English;
7- The works must be submitted to one of the areas:
- Applications of Biotechnology in the area of Human Health (development of vaccines and
medicines);
- Applications of Biotechnology in the area of Animal Health;
- Biotechnology in the Food Industry;
- Applications of Biotechnology in the Environmental and Agricultural areas;
- Bioenergy and Biofuels;
- Nanobiotechnology;
- DNA in forensic practice;
- Bioterrorism and Biodefense;
- Bioethics in Biotechnology;
- Technological Innovation;
- Intellectual Property and Biotechnology;
- Biotechnology Company and Perspectives
Biotechnology.
8- The participant may register and present only one work, and may be co-author of other abstracts;
9- The registered abstract will be analyzed by the Event's Scientific Committee and the result will be available to the registrant in the participant area;
10- The analysis by the Scientific Committee will cover the following aspects: clearly defined relevant objectives, appropriate methodology, clearly presented results, and pertinent conclusions;
11- The quality of the text (grammar, spelling and typing) is the author's responsibility and will be considered as an evaluation criterion by the Scientific Committee;
12- The deadline for abstract submission will be 06/20/2025. After this date, abstract submission forms will be blocked;
13- Approved abstracts will be published in the event proceedings;
14- Only one certificate will be issued for each abstract accepted and submitted. It will include the title of the work, the name of the author and all co-authors according to what was submitted in the system;
15- Accepted papers must be exhibited in the Poster Session during the 8th Brazilian Congress of Biotechnology. The area reserved for each poster will be a panel measuring 90cm x 120cm. The formatting of the paper, as well as the font of the title and text, are the responsibility of the author.
